Round Image Corners Online
Adjust the corner radius and optional margin, preview the result, and download your image as PNG, WebP or JPG.
Add rounded corners to your images
Round image corners online for photos, screenshots and product images. The tool rounds all four corners evenly while keeping the picture content at its original dimensions.
This free image corner rounder also lets you add an equal margin around the picture. Check the preview at the bottom of the form, then generate and download the result. PNG and WebP preserve transparent corners; JPG fills transparent areas with white.
How to round image corners online
Upload one image
Choose a JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, BMP or TIFF file up to 20 MB. Wait for the upload to finish before generating the image.
Set Radius, Margin and output format
Use the sliders or number fields to set the corner radius and margin in original-image pixels. Select PNG, WebP or JPG. JPG and WebP also offer a quality setting.
Preview, generate and download
Review the shape in the preview below the settings. Select Round Image Corners to create the file, then download it from the completed result card. The checkerboard marks transparency and is not part of the downloaded picture.
Choose how rounded the corners should be
Radius changes the curve at each corner. It is measured in the original image's pixels, so a 20 px radius is a gentler change on a large photo than on a small thumbnail. The preview scales the curve with the image to show the resulting proportions.
Small radius
Keep most of the rectangular shape while softening its four corners. Use this for screenshots, presentation images and product cards.
Larger radius
Remove more of each corner for a more rounded shape. Check that important details near the edges remain visible.
Maximum radius
The maximum is half the shorter image side, up to 4096 px. A square can become a circle; a rectangle becomes a capsule shape.
Set Radius to 0 to keep square corners and use Margin on its own. For a circular profile image, first make a square with the image cropper, then return here and select the maximum radius.
Add margin around the rounded image
Margin adds equal space outside the picture on all four sides. It expands the output canvas without shrinking the picture content. A rounded-corner image with a margin can leave room between the photo and nearby text or other design elements.
For example, a 1200 × 800 px picture with a 20 px margin becomes 1240 × 840 px. The tool adds 20 px on the left, right, top and bottom. You can set Margin from 0 to 1000 px, provided the final width and height stay within the output limit.
A margin is empty space, not a drawn border or a shadow. For PNG and WebP it stays transparent; for JPG it is white.
Download transparent corners as PNG or WebP
Choose the output format for where you will use the picture. This image corner rounder saves the rounded shape into the file, so it can be inserted into a document, slide or design without adding a separate corner effect.
PNG: transparent corners
Keep transparent corners, transparent margins and existing transparency in the source. Choose PNG when you want to place the picture over another background.
WebP: transparency and quality control
Keep transparency and adjust the quality setting. Check that the app or publishing workflow where you will use the result accepts WebP.
JPG: white corners and margin
JPG cannot store transparency. The removed corners, added margin and any other transparent source areas are filled with white. A quality setting is available.
The output width and height must each be no more than 8192 px, including margin. If you need a smaller picture, use the image resizer before adding rounded corners.
Where to use a rounded corner image
Presentation images
Round image corners before inserting a photo into a slide. Use PNG if the slide background should show through the corners.
Product pictures and thumbnails
Apply a consistent corner radius to individual pictures for a card layout or document. Process one image per task.
Screenshots and graphics
Give a screenshot rounded corners while keeping the content dimensions. Add margin when you need extra space around the screenshot.
Questions about rounding image corners
Radius changes the curve at the four corners. Margin adds space outside the picture on all four sides. Increasing Radius does not change the canvas dimensions; increasing Margin adds twice that value to both width and height.
Download the result as PNG or WebP. Both formats preserve the transparent corners and margin. JPG fills those areas with white. The checkerboard in the preview indicates transparency and is not saved into the file.
The photo content keeps its original dimensions. Margin expands the canvas around it. For example, a 20 px margin adds 40 px to the total width and 40 px to the total height.
Yes, if the source image is square. Set Radius to half its side length, within the 4096 px limit. A rectangular source becomes a capsule at the maximum radius. Crop it to a square first if you want a circle.
This tool applies one radius to all four corners and processes one uploaded image per task. To edit another picture, choose a new file and generate another result.
You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, BMP and TIFF files up to 20 MB. Animated or multipage inputs use the first frame or page and produce a static PNG, WebP or JPG. Animation and additional pages are not preserved.
The preview depends on your browser's ability to decode the input file. Some formats may upload successfully without a local preview. You can still submit a successfully uploaded file for server-side processing.
Radius is an integer from 0 to half the shorter image side, up to 4096 px. Margin is an integer from 0 to 1000 px per side. The generated image, including margin, must be no larger than 8192 px in either dimension.
